I was approached by Michele Pavani, a French filmmaker to make an intro sequence for their short film after they had seen my version of Jodorowsky's dune's intro. They were making a short film inspired by what Jodorowsky's Dune was supposed to be.
Original Sequence Notes
Remaking the 2D version of Jodorowsky's Dune intro in 3D is one thing. Making a new composition on my own is a whole different beast. I was excited at the challenge. In the initial communication with Michele he essentially gave me free reign over what this sequence would be. The only thing he had asked what that it ended on a planet with a fall colored forest spanning the frame. My idea for the sequence was to have the viewer start outside of the universe and traverse through the various sizes of celestial objects until eventually making it to the final location on planet.
All except the nebula asset and original music tracks are created by myself
